STEP 1

Cover paper in sky and water areas  using white chalk with firm strokes.  Smoothly build up chalk.

STEP 2

Add light blue sky and water areas with firm strokes using light blue chalk.

STEP 3

Add dark blue sky and water areas along  top and bottom edge of picture.  Use paper as a color mixing palette to rough in the background.
