Sketch head, beak, and tail sections in pencil before drawing with chalk.

STEP 17

Draw tail sections in white chalk.  Press hard.  Use sharp edges for tip of tail feathers.  Add a few hair line thin lines of dark brown chalk to seperate tail feathers.

STEP 18

Draw the beak with yellow-orange chalk.  add 1/4 inch white highlight along the top edge.  Blend softly.  Avoid smudging surrounding areas.  Draw head in white chalk.  Add eye and beak details with black chalk.  Feather highlights are dark brown.
