STEP 13

Outline the black areas of the eagle lightly with pencil.  Measure, compare and check proportions before using chalk. 

STEP 14

Carefully carve each outside edge of the black area with sharp edges of chalk.  Twist the chalk toward each edge to make it crisp, clean, smooth and free of smudges.

STEP 15

Add feather contours and begin to fill in the eagle's wings and torso with black.
